How to send your 360 in for repair
Also you can talk with Sig, he sent his to a person on eBay for repair.
Depending on where you live there might be a company that repairs gaming systems.
It all depends on what choice you want to make. If it is under warranty you can send it in, if not maybe try a 3rd party to have it fixed.

Yentis, did you go through the xbox website and do your order online?
If so it's pretty simple what it asks you for. I don't remember a service number. The service number comes after the repair order is generated.

I would consider fixing it yourself if your electronicly inclined. Every time I turn around it seems like there are more delays. I'm going through withdrawls, lol.. A buddy of mine had an old 360 that rrod in his closet and we are in the process of modding it (as Im waiting for mine to return). Heres the links that come with one of the kits from ebay, seems straight forward but I'll let you know if we have problems.
