I sometimes wish I could wipe my memory because those cartoons were really bad. Anything from the 70s-early 80s was bad. It wasn't until the late 80's that we got some good cartoons, like The Simpsons.

Some were so bad they were good, but most were just bad in retrospect (even though I was born in 1988 - I watched many of those through reruns).

I'd rather watch Popeye and Tom & Jerry reruns than most of the Japanese stuff that airs now.

If you watch it on american television yea, Crappy dubs, and stuff. Although I like anime because they actually have storylines that conclude where many of our favorites just got canceled regardless of popularity, Because of corporate bullshit.

Its like how the director decided to kill off optimus prime in Transformers the animated movie or Duke in G.I Joe the animated movie to introduce a new line of toys. Sucks huh? I like the 80s cartoons though, and their cheesiness, But the stuff shown on TV today literally sucks.

Watch those spoiler alerts man, lol Yeah I got to watch a lot of cartoons in Spanish when growing up, By the time I came to the states they weren't showing anything I'd watched before. Then only ones I saw from that list above was Dinosaucers, and Jem. God they were awful. The was torturous just to skip thru that video.

I grew up watching SilverHawks, Thundercats, TNMT, Tom and Jerry. Alf some real good ones.

Lately I've been trying too tap into some collective consciousness, to bring forth a Thundercats or SilverHawks movie. Cuz I Think done right they could be awesome movies.

You know one you don't hear about too often that I loved as a kid was MASK. I mean really guys, all of these cartoons seem crappy now, but they rocked back in the day! It's what got me through each week. No need to hang your head in shame.

I used to have MASK toys, they were ok.

The GI JOE movie ruled (the animated relate to this thread, haven't seen the new one yet), I love in that intro though, how the freaking leader of COBRA is strapping on a jet pack and doing front line saboteur work.

ok Cobra Commander has to do that shit because he is surrounded by morons.. If he wants anything done right, he has to do it himself. even though his plans fails costing him trillions (how much $$$ you think a floating aircraft carrier costd. Just another case of "the man" holding someone down.
MASK was the shit.. i had a few toys.. OMG wheeled raiders.... that brought back memories.
