Top 5 Games we're really looking forward to play

Ok, I'm posting this on the Cantina because it'd be nice to hear from the Xbox crowd and because apart from being a Playstation gamer, I'm also a fan of RTS games on the PC.

    Here is my list:
#1.- Starhawk (or Warhawk 2, or whatever it will be called): Developed by Lightbox Interactive, Starhawk, as fans have called it, will be the soul sequel to Warhawk. This game will be awesome. No videos, trailers, demos, or even concept art have been released, but if Starhawk is half of what Warhawk is, I just know it will be awesome.

#2.- Starcraft II: I'm a big fan of Starcraft. Almost every day for the past 4 years I have managed to sneak in a game of Starcraft or Starcraft: Broodwar. It's an addicting game made even more so by Battle.net. Seeing as how all trailers point to Starcraft II just being a Starcraft overhaul with no major changes, I WILL be getting this. 2010 will be the year of Starcraft II. For Aiur!

#3.- Gran Turismo 5: A Playstation exclusive and one of the big reasons I chose a PS3 over an Xbox360 (unfortunately, I was not aware of Forza ). Anyways, the videos look amazing and I think I'm gonna get one of those $300 dollar Logitech steering wheels. Also, this will be the first Gran Turismo game to feature the World Rally Championship, and I'm a big fan of that! WRC is real driving. Oh yeah, and NASCAR will make an appearance too . GT5 will also have an online 16-player mode that I'm looking forward to pwning (unless they're asian...). Ok, sorry if someone is asian here, but how come asians are such beastly drivers on video games and such sucky drivers in real life? :D I'm just joking, of course.

#4.- Project Vault 13 (aka the Fallout MMO): I'm also a Fallout nerd. I must've played Fallout & Fallout 2 to completion about 13 times each. I'm also a big Bethesda hater and want to murder them for what they did to my beloved franchise. That being said, rumor has it that Interplay is working on a top secret MMO based on the true Fallout canon. Unfortunately, Bethesda is being a bitch and might sue to get the Fallout MMO license. Nevertheless, Interplay will release a MMORPG set on a post-nuclear setting and that, my friends, is awesome.

#5.- Final Fantasy XIII: Ugh, I already know I'm not going to enjoy this game. The last Final Fantasy game that was done well was probably FFIX. If I weren't such a FF fanboy, this game wouldn't make the list. The only reason I'm putting it here is because the new Final Fantasy games are so easy they work as great anti-stressors. So yeah, this game will be my $60 console Tetris.

Honorable Mention - Napoleon: Total War: I love the Total War series. I've spent hours on Rome: Total War and my favorite so far has been Medieval II: Total War. It's so much fun to manipulate the Pope to call a crusade against yo' ass. Anyways, I haven't played Empire: Total War because my computer can't really handle it. This game is only an honorable mention because, well, it's the French... :D I'm joking again. It will be awesome to play against Napoleon.

So that pretty much describes what I'll be playing between 2010 - 2012. What is your top 5?

    Top 5 upcoming:

    1. Uncharted 2
    2. The Last Guardian
    3. GT5 (it's deeply unfair that preordering in Europe gives you a free downloadable copy of GT PSP, now with head tracking, 1000 cars, and Porsche.)
    4. Bioshock 2
    5. Metal Gear Peace Walker (PSP) (Why the HELL is superhomo Raiden starring in the console MGS5, when THIS will be one so superior the Kojima himself is doing everything on it?)

              1) Socom Patch 1.50
              2) Socom Patch 1.60
              3) Socom DLC
              4) FFXIV (mmorpg)
              5) FFXIII

If I can get a perfect socom, with new maps I won't be playing too much other than that.

Of course Star Wars Battlefront 3, but since I have heard nothing, maybe next year.....again?

                Modern Warfare 2
Dragon Age: Origins (I like Bioware and what they did with SWKOTOR)
                and maybe Final Fantasy XIII

A lot of games look nice and cool, and I would like to play them, but these few are some I will for sure own. Honestly though I don't even know the last game that I actually completed. I don't think I have actually completed one entire game on my PS3 yet Hell rpup played and beat Ghostbusters in one weekend. (He got me some trophies for it rofl) I didn't even play one whole level on the game.

Update: Just remembered COD MW was the last game I actually completed, and the first Resistence game. I just enjoy the online stuff too much that I hardly play offline

                  4) Ratchet & Clank (no I am not gay for putting this down)
                  5) COD MW2 (I slotted this one in at 5 so I can elicit a response from Keyser)

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. I'm sure MW2 will be great, controls, story,
                    plot, gameplay, and sound aside.
I mean, the graphics and arcade gameplay
will be in full effect, so it'll be a fun arcade
game, just like the last one. And the one
before that. And the one before that.

                    ***********************************************

                    End Transmission. :)

                      I second tony and add
Marvel alliance 2.....thought the first one was tons of fun and my son and I love playing it together...
MAG seems pretty sick concept but...dunno...if the network issues and limited maps from Socom is any indication of what might happen..yikes...Socom lag with 256 players...
CODMW...maybe..sounds like they are going to do something different this time around then any other game out there by making it a first person shooter
                      wouldn't that be novel

Putting that game on your list justifies that you're not gay, but putting that statement next to the game proves the opposite lol. I remember you said the same thing about LBP when 90% of PS3 owners bought the game. Seriously though, the Ratchet and Clank series is awesome. I hope the new one brings back online multiplayer (the PS2 era games had flawless online) and possibly co-op. Chicks dig the guns. ;)

Well, I want to hear more from Rommel on MAG.

I like the idea of the layout, with squads for voice and objectives.

                          BUT

After seeing the weapons, groups, and art direction in their PSN videos, I'm no longer interested.

Could change, but being an FPS with respawn gives it a hell of a hill to climb.

What would be the best of BOTH worlds would be to have respawn but only in ways that make sense. For Example, if you respawned on an inbound chopper that was like a waiting room, where you could discuss strategy with other dead guys on the way to the battle site, and the chopper only make it to the map every 5 minutes, that would be really cool.

@ Boss... I really don't remember what I said yesterday so how am I supposed to remember what I said a few months ago. Ratchet and Clank is a fun game, although I never did finish it!!! My kids really like it so it's a definite buy. Online would be cool for that game though....might even introduce the online aspect to my kids (hopefully there's a mute feature so that they don't get exposed to some obnoxious players).

@ Keyser...don't give up on MAG, buddy? The sucker hasn't even been released!! Wait for the hands on reviews (DSA members) and then at least make some type of decision at that point.
