Wow. Deslock IS the wisest man in gaming. But thank you man. I really appreciate it. I have brothers now and I must do this for them. I've been off probation since Tuesday and I haven't even smoked. But Reaver, what addiction are you talking about? Does everyone here think I'm a junkie?

this may be off topic a little bit (I love preempting my posts with that all-encompassing statement)...

          where was I?

Oh yeah, does anyone know where I can score some meth?

I'd be pretty adamant if anybody ever accused me of smoking meth, them's fightin' words.

Smoke all the weed you want just not in the service. if you get a wild hair up your ass eat mushrooms... steer clear of acid, ex, coke, pcp, heroine etc. One last thing, don't spend the last dollar of your gold trying to buy a woman's love either.

Daxx- glad you're not in jail, stay focused on the righteous path man

Drugz are a first end trip to nowhere, besides the Cemetary.

Ever held a friend as she was bleeding to death, asking for her mother...?

            I've been there.

So make all the fun you want. Be my guest.

Yeah boy....Funerals are the bomb !!!

Daxx, your friends and family cares about you. Getting High is fun. Being there for those that love you is even better. Trust me.

There are people that love you. And we in the DSA care about you.

Be the best you can be. And we'll be here for you.

Ratix, me and you are gonna throw down some beers together, and smoke some serious gangja because you are right on my level.

Dax, don't do that shit. It isn't worth it. Unless you already have a job and they are not gonna test you again, then smoke all you want. I got busted twice for DUI and possession and the worst time I ever had was the second bust. Major buzz kill.

I met this girl, and I guarantee you she was gonna suck my dick that night. I go score some weed for her and the infamous white lighter comes out, fuckin shit. The cops were right outside of the house. They knocked on the door and all they said was "pizza". Dude opened the door and they hit that shit with a fucking battering ram, threw his ass down with fucking bullet proof vests on and guns out. I almost shit myself when that happened. Next thing I know some fucking bastard cop walks in with a fucking video camera with a light on it. At this point, I am fucking stoned and all I can think of is, that this is gonna be on the next episode of "Cops in Arlington". Needless to say I did not get laid that night. Bitch was all mad about how I took her to some place that was "hot".

Long story short, I got off because my lawyer was the fucking man, she had to do six months of ASAP with probation and she never sucked my dick. Sad story, i know. I was looking forward to the BJ.

Now that I am wise and shit, I will say this: Don't smoke weed at someones house if they have been evicted already, and don't drink and drive EVER. Also, don't smoke if your looking for a job, but once you get it, smoke weed all you want. Also don't show up an hour late after a big binge drinking session, there is no excuse, cause you just look drunk.

But if you want to be super safe paranoid guy, don't do drugs, and don't use a white lighter, and don't drink and drive.

                  It's just not worth it.

I hate illegal drugs with a passion. I hate how easy people become addicted to them. I hate to see people destroy their lives to that poisin. Most people don't think about the people they're supporting by buying that crap. They're NOT nice people..they are Monsters. Of the worst kind. Most heroin comes from the Taliban, or Communist China. Not exactly our friends here in America, and alot of the weed comes from central american drug lords...You know, the people that have been beheading people in Mexico..?

One friend of mine from my younger days, we had a great band. But he got addicted to that crap, and We all sat there and watched one of the MOST talented guitarists I've ever known, ruin his life, and his mind turned to mush. It wasn't until his second bad car crash (under the influence) that damn near destroyed his body, to wake up and stop going down that road.

If it was a drug, he was welcome to try it. Acid, 'ludes, you name it, he was game for it. It wasn't until he twisted and broke his body...the agony finally made him stop. Because of all the physical therapy he had to go through, he decided to become a nurse, and help others through their pain also. He cleaned up his life, straightened up his act, and just recently married Miss Virginia..Awesome !!! And I'm sooo happy for him.

But when I think about everything he has had to go through...the pain he's had to endure... I cannot help but feel that it's just not worth it.

And it all started with.."Hey dude, wanna smoke some weed..?"

I know that's not the case with everyone, but once you start down that path, it usually ends somewhere where you don't want to be.

Read Brocman's post again, and ask him if he had a time machine, and had the chance to do that night over again, when that chick asked him to go get some weed...I'd be willing to bet he'd change his mind, and just ask her to hang out at his house and watch some movies. When I read Brocman's post, I cannot imagine the horror, and fear that must've went thru his mind at the time.

Getting busted, handcuffed..off to jail, and all the legal crap he had to go though...And, most of all, he didn't get his dick sucked...:(

Guys, it just isn't worth it.

When I was driving big trucks, we'd have these poor girls come up and knock on our door, asking if we wanted "our truck cleaned"...and these poor prostitutes would literally be shaking, because they needed the crack sooo bad. They looked like shit, and had sores all over them....Yum!!!!

And it all probably started because someone said...."Hey...wanna do some weed?"

Please, please....leave that shit alone. It's just not worth it.

Be brave, be strong. You deserve better than that. And Daxx, if you ever, ever need anyone to talk to, just PM me. I'll be there for you.

                  God bless,

                  Tie.

                        Emperor

I have to admit, I was up early and decided to play devil's advocate a bit in my previous posts. I think a lot of people knew that though. But because of some of the overly used War on drugs anthems I am hearing here, I have to say something.

Stupid and weak minded people should NOT do drugs. That includes drinking beer, or coffee as well. And that's what it all comes down to. There is NOTHING wrong with weed except for the government propaganda and years of anti-drug campaigns that have brainwashed people to believe what they tell them.

Not a single person has died, EVER, from weed. Sure you might get sick and pass out if you smoke too much, but you can also have a heart attack if you drink 5 large cups of coffee in 2 mins. It's called moderation. If you are too stupid, or weak minded to know your limits, you shouldn't be doing it at all.
If you find you have to drink till you black out every time you drink, then you have a problem and shouldn't be drinking at all. For every 1 person that dies from some drug related thing, there are 1000s that use responsibly. But it's the one jackass that can't control himself that gives things a bad name.

If your going to work high, it's the same as going to work drunk. There's a problem. However, if you know you have shit to do and wait till your home and at the end of the night decide to smoke a bowl or a blunt even, whats the harm. What's the difference between that and coming home and having a beer to unwind. The only difference is the weed is not as harmful as the beer. I love how people will not complain and preach as much about people having a drink or two, but will flip the fuck out over weed.

And Des, that whole "It started with weed" thing, is complete bullshit. I bet you every person that has ever moved on to hard drugs started with Cigarettes or Alcohol first. Yet Weed gets the bad rap of "a Gateway" drug. Again, many many years of the government's (Failed) War on Drugs telling people it's a gateway drug, and everyone actually starts to believe it. People need to actually look up the facts and educate themselves before they start parroting that propaganda bullshit.

There are some serious drugs that should be avoided, like heroin, crack, meth, and ex (because it's all Heroin and speed mixes now a days anyway, none is pure MDMA). Basically anything that is chemically man made should probably be avoided.

Weed is natural, and non-fatal, no matter how much you smoke. Of course you shouldn't smoke 5 blunts a day either. Moderation.
Coke is even ok if you can limit yourself. If your buying an 8ball a week, then you need to stop. But buying a gram and having a night of drunken ramblings with your friends once in a blue moon (literally once in a blue moon, if not longer) is not the worse thing in the world. It all comes down to individual will power. If your too weak to moderate yourself, or stop when you had too much, then you just shouldn't be doing it.

And let me pre-emptively address the Family Factor. You do drugs it hurts your family. Ok how so?
You can go to jail. Ok, well if it was legal as it should be, that wouldn't be a problem. It's a problem that government causes, not the drug. And if anyone thinks weed is illegal simply because it's a drug, they need to do their research. Look up DuPont Nylon, special interests, and federal law enforcement expansion, more specifically Harry J. Anslinger.
The person is destroying themselves. Fine, then they should stop because they are unable to moderate themselves. It's a personal will power issue, not the drug.
They can die and cause pain for their family. While sad, it's the blame of the person, not the drugs. If someone is running with a pair of scissors and trips and impales himself, do you blame the scissors for being too sharp?

Here's an easy metaphor to help put things in perspective.

You have someone who likes to go hiking. Usually takes the easy trails and just enjoys the views of nature. This is the equivalent of someone smoking weed responsibly.
Now let's look at the more extreme of those. Say someone who decides to go Mountain climbing. This is someone who might dabble in other drugs.

The person that goes mountain climbing is doing something that is potentially dangerous. A pin could come loose, you might loose your grip, many things that could go wrong and result in death. But this person has the freedom to do with his own life as he chooses. I don't hear many people speaking out against mountain climbing despite it's dangerous nature. He falls and it's Just an accident. A sad, but tragic accident.
Why is it not the same for someone who decides to get his fun from a drug, and takes the same risks (probably even safer sitting at home high, then climbing a mountain). Why is it more appalling that someone dies of drugs and not mountain climbing? Both are within the control of the person. Both could be avoided. Both cases they decided to do something that was dangerous. Yet we don't try to blame the mountain.

Also Des, Most weed in this country is HOME GROWN. Weed is as American as apple pie. It either comes from CA, where sinsemilla growing (seedless growing) was invented in the 1970s, Northeast like vermont where there is great soil and environment to grow, or Canada. Most "kind" buds or good grade weed is also called BCs (British Columbia) where a lot of good weed is grown.
Again, don't buy into the whole government propaganda bullshit that Weed funds the terrorists. Opium derived drugs, like heroin, yes come from the middle east and china. But worth noting is that opium production has actually exploded since we invaded Afgan. The taliban was actually working towards destroying the opium fields and that market in Afgan. It took the US gov and corporations to boost the production back up and ABOVE what it was prior to our invasion. So you can thank the Government for heroin overdoses and problems in this country.

The New York Times exposé pins the blame on Karzai, but fails to explain that one of the primary reasons behind the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan was the United States’ agenda to restore, not eradicate, the drug trade.

Before the invasion, the Taliban collaborated closely with the U.N. to reduce opium production down to just 185 tonnes, a figure at least 2000% below current levels. The notion that the “Taliban benefits from the drug trade” and that the U.S. is trying to stop it, as both Bush and Obama claimed, is the complete opposite of what is actually happening. As Professor Michel Chossudovsky has highlighted in a series of essays, the explosion of opium production after the invasion was about the CIA’s drive to restore the lucrative Golden Crescent opium trade that was in place during the time when the Agency were funding the Mujahideen rebels to fight the Soviets, and flood the streets of America and Britain with cheap heroin, destroying lives while making obscene profits.

                        Other references to the article

In fact, that's how I lost a very good friend of mine. In fact I lost two very good friends to drug related accidents. So it's not like I am naive to the dangers. I just refuse to blame the hammer for hitting my friend in the thumb. They should have been more careful. It's sad, could have been avoided, but pointless to blame an inanimate object over it.

In closing. Daxx, you should be more careful with what you use when on probation. Don't be one of the stupid people that causes responsible users to defend themselves against bogus accusations like you've read here. Use safely, be responsible, know your limits, and know when to ask for help if you find you aren't as strong as you thought.
Side note, I hate AA because they teach the exact opposite. That you are Powerless over your addiction. Bullshit. You have all the power, it's will power that stops you from doing stupid things. It's your will to want to stop that makes you ask for help. Know your strong and not weak, and you can moderate yourself or stop using whatever it is that might be hindering you.

                              Daxx..

Regretfully this thread has become a debate about if drugs are a good thing or bad thing.

About a week ago you thought you were about to loose you liberty and freedom. That is a some serious shit. This thread should be about how to make sure that does not happen to you in the short or far future.

You have stated you know what you need to do. You mentioned you need to stop using illegal drugs, be there for your brothers, and get a job. You know your situation best. Trust yourself.

Set a goal for yourself. Figure out what you need to do to achieve that goal. Then take a step toward it, then another, then another. Don't let anything or anyone distract you. Have a clear vision of what you want in your life.

However, I would suggest to you one way or the other, you need to move away from this point in your life where you can loose your liberty and freedom.

...So live, that when thy summons comes to join
                              The innumerable caravan, which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.

Regretfully this thread has become a debate about if drugs are a good thing or bad thing.

About a week ago you thought you were about to loose you liberty and freedom. That is a some serious shit. This thread should be about how to make sure that does not happen to you in the short or far future.
