Some kid threatened to hack my xbl account last night while a couple of us were on MW2, It was only after we beat their clan that I got threatened. Should I be worried at all? As a precaution, I changed my password abit.(Though it is a kid so maybe there isn't much to worry about afterall?)

Also, Is it even possible for that sort of thing to even happen?

yeah dont worry about it kamui. i have heard people use this threat before and then have done nothing about it. i too was in a room where a guy threatened to hack all of our accounts. nothing ever happened. they are just a bunch of shit talkers so dont worry

I think the fact these brats shit talk is because they get picked on at school alot. They need to find someone to poke at so the internet is their best source. They won't expect a physical retaliation whatsoever so they aren't worried. Baseless threats like hacking is one of their weapons.
Kid's these days though. I didn't grow up with a computer, But I did grow up with video games so I really don't understand for kids to act in that manner.
I guess Kid's that are from this new generation are growing up with computers, And little parental support or concern. Am I to believe this?

Like i was telling the dsa guys last night on socom next time we lose a game we are all going to start crying about it too. Just no point in even talking to anybody on games anymore that you dont know they might be plesant and then you say good game to them like eagle did just to have them say shit that wasnt a good game we will kill all you if we ever play again you guys are camping bitches

chances are slim that you will get hacked but yeah it can happen as you've seen with the mods.

Most of the hacking is done with crap they purchase because they don't know the first thing about doing it by themselves. Thankfully Microsoft keeps up on this crap and keep rendering the "push button hacking" apps useless. Besides if it does happen (slim chance) just call XBL customer support and they'll help you out.

It's funny how willing people are to commit felonies over a silly game, these days making threats can be almost as serious.

The chances of him actually being able to hack you are slim to none. You don't have to worry about it

The only way he could do it is by brute force hacking your account on the xbox website. But I'm pretty sure MS would have something in place to prevent such a thing.

If you remember his name, You can file a complaint against him for harassment or hacking. If fact, if something like that happens again, everyone on your team should file a complaint. They will ban his account in a heartbeat if they see a bunch of complaints on the same person.
