    New to the Alliance

    Newby here!
I'm sure you have seen me online at SW Battlefront II.
Just figured I'd joine the cause.
Catch me online between 8pm and 1am (east)

Do I need to add anything to my 'online' name?

Welcome to our website Stryder. We welcome all newcomers. If you are interested in joining please read our code of conduct and sign up for a tryout. As far as adding anything to your name I am assuming you are referring to our DSA tags? In our system all are welcome to join the website and play in our servers, but you are not official DSA so please don't add anything to your name tag. (Others have tried and have been swiftly dealt with) Look forward to doing battle with you and please look into joining our Stormtrooper ranks.

Medals for the most part are given to DSA/Stormtroopers only. Very, very rarely will you see a "civilian" with a medal. They are bestowed upon those whom have found to be worthy, or have achieved some sort of accomplishment. Example: We have training for the regular classes (Soldier, Engineer, HWG etc) and are awarded metals for our knowledge in those classes.

This is a link to the list of medals and who has earned them.

          ...

I'll keep that link in mind.
A lot to look forward to.
I'm better as a pilot, than a ground troop, unless it's
a marine, and I still don't fare as well.

I've only had the game for a month, and the network
adapter for ps2, for about 2weeks now.

I'm still getting used to the 'online' play, and it's quirky lag
          once in a while.

I have noticed that headshots take more than 1 shot online,
          any clue?
I can be right on top of them with the sniper rifle,
and it tskes at least 2 or more shots.
It can also take at least 10 or more shots with a trooper rifle,
while they are 'sitting' in a gunner seat in a cruiser.

Hey Stryder. Welcome. Ive seen ya around. I think you schooled me a couple times LOL. Im a space junkie myself. Youll see me in DSA Space quite often. One of the few places I havent run into any glitchers. These guys run a tight but fun ship. Sounds like the lag may be a little more than you should be getting. Ill tell you what. Ill help out with your internet connection the best I can. Maybe we can tune it a bit. But in the interest of keeping things organized here go over to the Tech Center part of the forum and post your connection questions there and if you could just answer these questions. Who is your ISP. Are you using a router? is your PS2 hardwired to the router/modem or are you using a wireless setup? As far as the headshot thing goes I havent seen that happen too often. Not enough for it to be an issue. I get picked off with headshots quite often.
Momma always told me never put off tomorrow Stuff you can blow up today!!!!

Ha, ha .. yes I have seen you online =)
I usualy do not 'school' anyone ;) as you said.
I do, however, teach them a lesson after they shoot me
down, I do give chase to let them know ... I'm still around :D

I have run into the glitchers though ... the ones who's ships do a
little dance as you tag them with your blasters over and over again.

Another issue I have is 'cheaters' ... the ones who's hand weapons
kill you with one shot, and it is 'not' a headshot ... or the ones who do
not take any damage when you have them dead to rights with your
                  missles.

Members who sign in, destroy the turret controls, and switch sides.

The other is the team killers.

My name came up in DSA space for abuse, harrassment and voice ... funny thing is ...
... I have no head set

                  As for the internet...

Dsl into modem ... into router (non wireless)
port 1 out to pc, port 2 out to PS2.

                  That's pretty much it.

                    just a note

It seems that Corellian Smugglers have picked me
                    up as a new recruit.

I will be in the DSA boards when I get chance, you know
I'll be in the space boards daily.

I will be changing my online name to [CSr]Blaze_Stryder
I will visit the forums from time to time if that is okay with the admins.
If not, please let me know.

You may visit our public forums, play in our public servers, and be welcome here! But you may not tryout for DSA to participate in DSA clan activities as long as you are affiliated with CS. Our members are exclusively DSA members and not members of other clans. Good luck in your time with CS!

Of course everybody is welcome to our public forums. Enjoy your time with CS--they have a lot of good players. They are a very different type of clan, but that is what makes the world go round, huh?

By the way, you never told us how you made out at AC.
You're the best! Around! Nothings gonna ever keep you down!

Zab, I lost ... $500.00, came home with nothing ...
I did however see The Blue Man Group live.
                            That was my favorite part.
Mike Vern opened up for them.
He does a mix of scratches along with video.
His best ... he did a song with a sound & video clip
from office space ... "I'll show her my "O" face"

blue man group is a lot of fun---saw them in the City when they were just becoming big, before they had any other shows going. Afterwards, I thought---this show would totally have worked better in a slightly alterred state---especially the end where they have the techno music cranking and all the rolls of paper just flowing and you just get enveloped by everything. Very surreal.

$500 not too bad. I hope you spent time at the Borgata instead of some of the other casinos down there.
