Major Announcement
I'll try to make this short and to the point.
Over the past few years I've been struggling to find the time to be able to devote to making this clan what it should be. Between work, family, and other responsibilities, I have not been able to find that time and do what needs to be done to keep this as active and organized as it should.
With the recent blow up of my server, which housed all my game servers (SWBF, Minecraft, 7DaysToDie, ARK, Valhiem, Space Engineers, and many, many others.. pretty much whatever game tickled my fancy that I had an option for a dedicated server). I've taken it as a sign that I need to do something different. I personally feel that, the Force, God, Fate, whatever you believe, doesn't want me doing this anymore and to move on to other things. So that is what I am going to do.
I've thought about this a lot, and decided the best way to move forward.
I'd like to announce that I am officially making DSA Reaver the new Darth of the DSA.
RISE my friend, and from this moment forth, you will be known as..
Darth Vorse
Besides just being the new Darth. I am giving him full control over the clan to run as he sees fit.
The last largest push we saw in this clan was mostly because of his efforts. That, as well as many other reasons (The man has the DSA logo tattooed in Aurek Besh on the back of his arm for crying out loud), leaves me fully confident that the clan is in good hands.
I'll still be around to guide and be the Emperor. I'll just be taking a huge back seat to things, like locked in the trunk back seat. He just has to pop it open, feed me Jedi Souls, and I'll give him advice when he needs it. He will run the day to day and have control over direction and everything else, though. I'll just be here for support for him.
Congratulations to DSA Reaver, one of the youngest members to join DSA (15 at the time, while we only took 18+ always, this was a very rare exception), I know you will do great and make us old timers all proud.
It's time for new, younger blood to take the reins. And I have no doubt, he will help rebuild the clan with new, younger, skilled and enthusiastic gamers who appreciate organized team play and sportsmanship in gaming.
Just to touch on the server situation. I do plan on getting my server back up, but with everything basically lost, it will probably be minimal. The SWBF2 Classic servers I will try to get back up first as those might be the easiest and definitely the most used and appreciated by all. The leaderboards, however, will probably be down for a long time, if not indefinitely. I do have ideas to revamp the code and do different things, but that is going to be a slow back burner type project.
Just know that, Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen.
