SOLVED: Shoutbox problem?

Is the shoutbox working for everyone else?

I normally have a problem with it loading when I jump on the site. I always have to enter a forum thread to get it to load for me.

Today it won't load at all for me. Is there something on my end I should check?

Works on my laptop and Droid. Doesn't load on my desktop. Idk why. Same browser. I probably have a setting wrong or something

I'm using the most recent version of Firefox. Both my work computer and my laptop at home are doing it......weird.

It's obviously something on my end....any suggestions?

My shoutbox is still broken and I can't figure out why :(

did you update Flash and or Silverlight? Also have you tried to operate FireFox in safe mode? (Go to your Firefox folder and click on the program called Firefox Safe Mode)

If updating doesn't work or Safe mode doesn't work does the shoutbox work in IE? If so what version of IE are you using?

If it doesn't work in IE, I would uninstall Flash and restart the PC and then reinstall it.

I also and having the same issue. It will no longer load.

I am using Chrome and doesn't work on My Latest Firefox, But it is working on my IE9 beta....wierd

And doesn't work on FLOCK either.

When you use programs like Firefox and Chrome that allow Add-ons and what not sometimes the people that develop them don't quality test them. The Add-ons can block other plug-ins or add-ons form working correctly. Also your profiles in Chrome and Firefox can and will become corrupt over time. Kinda like your room if you don't clean it over time or do the bare minimum cleaning dust and trash will still build up over time.

The same can be said of the Adobe Flash and Microsoft Siverlight programs. They can become corrupt over time, but usually a restart of the PC will fix those types of issues. Sometimes you have to uninstall and then reinstall them when they become too corrupted.






Also I'm offering advice for a problem that you are clearly frustrated by. If you don't want the help that is fine. I'm not really appreciative of this response "I shouldn't have to do that. It should just work.". While I agree with that statement. I also acknowledge that over time all things will tend to need some sort of a repair. So when they do need to be fixed I try not to snap at the guy helping out.
