I'm looking at getting a network storage device for home which I have 2 PC,Netbook and my PS3. I really like this Iomega Media network drive.
Any advice would help thanks
My dad who is pretty good with computers said you should save your money and by a regular big ass drive put it into it's own PC and set it to share on the network. The PS3 seeing the drive will be a problem though. On the network we have set up at my place the PS3 can only see the MythTV (a linux based program that acts like a DVR) program's recordings. Other than that it won't see anything else on the network. You might have to do something special with the folders that you want to make public on your network but I think you can get it done and it will save you some money.

Personally I'd be wary of wireless data transfer speeds for video (I'm assuming that's what you'd be storing). I've found it ok for music, but lacking for video transfer of high bitrate (ie. Bluray rips) files.

@Kg....If you go internal you can set up the network like Broc mentions. My PS3 has no problems seeing my drive from my laptop and I can even look at folders stream music, movies and pictures with ease. I can even copy my Movie files to my PS3 to get a smooth viewing of them.
Here is the same drive from Amazon. [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Iomega-Network-Attached-Storage-34571/dp/B002PY7LME/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1293116870&sr=8-2"]MUCH MUCH CHEAPER.....[/ame]
If I go internal then I have to hard wire everything ( i guess ) and Ps3 is on the other end of my house and i don't want to plug my netbook into network when I want to transfer files.
I went on and got the Iomega for 134.00 now I have to see if its going to work like I think it will
