    A little help for Solo

So last night I was watching Netflix with the lady and my PS3 would keep saying it was disconnected from the Access Point and then sign back in. Then it just completely went down. I logged into it and saw I had a DoS attack ACK Scan then this morning had a DoS Attack RST Scan. The ACK scan was from IP Address 24.29.138.16. The RST attack was from 00:1b:63:c6:08:1c which is a MAC address. I have a password protecting our network but I was wondering if I need to change it. I am afraid this will mess with my Xbox connection. I researched these attacks and mostly everyone has said its spam/bots and if I have a password I should be okay but that someone could have a Trojan on their system or something. Any help or advice would be awesome!

    it's been blacklisted

All that means is that an infected computer is scanning your IP address and checking to see if there is a way in.

Another thing is do you use torrents? Sometimes that will show up like that, not often, but it happens.

I would just check to make sure your router has a user name and password. I would also make sure your wireless is secured. If you are still worried

    Malwarebytes
    Combofix

are two good programs, that are both free, to run if you think you might have a trojan or anything odd like that.

    Hope that helps.

Router has a username and password I set it all up when I got it. I do not use torrents but the roommate might be he was not here last night and his computer was shut down.

You probably have this set up, But make sure your router is hidden so nobody can find it.

I mean, Make sure it isn't broadcasting a single, So only you will know the SSID and Security password for WEP,WPA, or whatever encryption you currently use.

Malwarebytes, Spy-bot S&D, Norton or McAfee and make use your firewall is setup. I also just made a new best friend Secunia Personal Software Inspector it checks for 3rd party patches. It means shit if you have all the security in the world and they use adobe to hack your system because it is 3 years out of date.

As for your wireless hide your SSID enable encryption and USE MAC address filtering on your wireless access list. Setting up the MAC filter might be a pain but no one will be able to get on your wireless unless they match your approved MAC list or if they spoof a MAC.
