I've been looking around Newegg for a potential Hard drive for my PS3 since the thing is already full in 2 years. I was wondering for those whom have brought a hard drive for the PS3(Slim), which would is best to buy and what would be a good deal?

How much space did your old HDD have? I find the Seagate (Scorpio Blue) HDDs to be great (7200 or 5400 rpm are about the same) and they have some good deals on their 500GB internal HDDs (I got one for $50 at Fry's).sigpic

I hear that SSD are actually really good for the PS3 that they help increase performance do to the PS3 lack of RAM. But they can get expensive if you are looking for size over speed."Thrawn: "Do you know the difference between an error and a mistake, Ensign?"
Colclazure: "No, sir."
Thrawn: "Anyone can make an error, Ensign. But that error doesn't become a mistake until you refuse to correct it." [points at Pietersen, Rukh kills him] "Dispose of it. The error, Ensign, has now been corrected. You may begin training a replacement."

Do you run the external mated to the PS3 all the time? Or do you just use it for backup?

@Apat: I use that as an internal HDD. My external one I use for backing up everything though. I figured I was going to replace the standard internal HDD for more space, but I also want all the saves from my previous HDD included and that's where the external HDD came in.
@Cotto: It's actually not much of a difference and not worth the price tag:
I was going to get an SSD originally, but when I read the small increase is barely noticeable I figured I'd rather save money and get a HDD that still gets the job done.sigpic

My current Harddrive has a maximum of 111GB. Currently I have 19GB free, but it won't last long I bet because of the potential of me downloading an arcade game or something. I did have to delete alot of things that I hadn't used in awhile such as installation data for games I don't have anymore.<a href="http://s11.photobucket.com/user/dsaBOSS/media/mui_sig_zpsdfb059b2.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a178/dsaBOSS/mui_sig_zpsdfb059b2.png" border="0" alt=" photo mui_sig_zpsdfb059b2.png"/></a><a href="http://psnprofiles.com/XxkamuixX1"><img src="http://card.psnprofiles.com/1/XxkamuixX1.png" border="0"></a>Comment
