    2 PS3 + Home = conflict

Here's what I got going, I have 2 ps3 ones the wife and other is mine running wireless from a linksys router.

Everything works fine no problems until we ( me and wife) try to play in the same room of the same online game it kicks the person already in game and dont let the other join but sometimes it works but not very often.
So any help would be great.

Ps she could be DSA but we can't play together so she in the BROG clan

The same thing happens with two 360s behind the same NAT. I'm sure it's the same thing that happens on the PS3 side. It's a pain in the ass to work out sometimes, but with a little persistence should be workable.

On the 360 side, for one machine, you usually have to set a static IP on the console via the network settings, and then forward the ports used by the 360.

For two or more consoles its a bit different. You have to use Port Triggering instead of Port Forwarding (If your router doesn't have port triggering, you may be SOL). Set the ports used by the PS3/360 in Port Triggering, and enable UPNP. Sometimes you have to set the port range for a few extra increments. Like 360 uses port 88, so you put ports 88-89 as the port triggering range. One console will use 88, the other 89. Set static IPs for both systems to avoid conflict. Use the MAC address if possible.

Check online to see what ports the PS3 uses and try to setup as such.

Can you move the modem and router into the same room as the ps3s? A wired connection is preferred anyways.

Nah ones upstairs and the others down and the modem and router is in other room I could run rj45 to the router but that would be a real hassle. Really I haven't any problems wireless the one upstairs has 75% strength signal and mine has 90%

Even with signal strength 100% a wireless connection sucks on PS3 compared to wired. Its limited by the wireless adapter in the PS3. With wireless you will have more perceived "lag".

What type of internet do you have, cable or DSL?

Apat's right about the wired vs wireless situation. Wireless is more sensitive to bandwidth interference since wired directly connects your PS3 to the modem/router. However, if you can't run a wire then definitely go with Ratix's suggestions. Forwarding/triggering the right ports should help you out a lot.

Regardless of how you connect, you will still probably need to do the port triggering setup to get both working on the same LAN. Wired is definitely the better way to go though.

Well if you only have 1 cable hook up in the room you can run a splitter and hook the modem up right there. I would hook it up next to your ps3 and let the wife use the WiFi. But I'm a selfish prick...lol

I noticed a difference playing Socom on WiFi vs Wired.
