Need Help With Laptop

Somewhere along the lines, my email was hacked. Did not know that, that email is tied into my msn, msn is tied into xbox live. I can't recover my account because my pass and recovery questions were changed. I called MS tech support, or which I thought. They took over my PC and showed me a website that looked like it was made by the "As seen on tv" people. He ended up showing me on my computer someone from pakistan pretty much fucked my computer with keyloggers and rootkits. The then proceeded to tell me, i need to spend 500 bucks in order to fix the problem. I know this is fixable and I know for damn sure I can have it done without spending 500 bucks. I also know there are quite a few tech gurus here, and I could really use some help on this. I have know xbox until this shit is gone.

Cant recover GT --> Email got hacked --> Cant recover email --> Email is tied into xbox live --> Only way to recover email is to fix the problems internally.

Can anyone help?

You might have called one of those iYogi type tech support places. If you called through 411 or something to get the number, that's most likely what happened. MSN wouldn't charge you for password/account recovery.
