    Not Responding

For a good while now since building this computer everything has been fine except one single problem. Sometimes when I am using the computer(or even if i'm not using it and i'm afk) the programs will constantly go (Not responding). I checked the logs and it seems my computer is constantly going in a stopped state too often. Can any of you bigger tech heads help me out? I know some tech, but not everything lol.

Also, I should google the next problem, but whenever I start my computer I can't use the keyboard during the boot manager like if I want to choose which operating system to load up. I checked the connections in the back of the tower and everything is in neatly.

    'Thanks

Not sure what you mean by stopped state. If from the event viewer logs, can you copy and paste the errors here? And any other Red X's and Yellow !'s that might be there as well.

I know even with mine, and on Windows 7, it seems to put programs into a "not responding" state quicker then previously. Sometimes if a program takes a bit to load or process, and you click on it to try and do something, even if it just hangs for 2 secs, it will pop up as not responding. Usually just letting it catch up will remove that and the program resumes fine.
For me I usually have a bunch of things running. Or firefox in general eats up memory (especially when I have like 20-40 tabs open) and can lag a bit.

As for the Keyboard problem, it all depends on the keyboard type too. Some wireless keyboards or USB keyboards, don't load up until windows installs the drivers for them to work. So during POST and OS screen might not work.

You "might" have an option in the BIOS to enable USB Keyboard, or USB Legacy Device, or something similar. However to get to the BIOS, you will need to use a PS/2 keyboard to access it. Hope you have one laying around.
Even if the USB option isn't there, a BIOS update might be available for your board that might add the option.
