IM Hoaxes, Dont be "that guy"

Have you fell victim to IM stupidity? Have you recieved this msg and hastily sent it to everyone on your list without Verifying or even a second thought? Are you the person that makes me want to reach through my computer screen and beat some sense into?

hate this message too, but dont want to get my account shut down. it has happened already, Yahoo is shutting down on (Insert Date Here). They want to get rid of free messenger. if u delete this and dont pass it on your name will be deleted. A lot of people have already been deleted. Right click friends on your list and click send instant message to all in group
    Or how about this one,

"Yahoo! is planning to charge Yahoo! Messenger as of (Insert date Here). If you want to keep Yahoo! Messenger free of charge, please send this message to everyone you know. Each person who receives this message counts as one 'signature' of which Yahoo! requires 1,000,000 to stay free".
For years these hoaxes have been circulating around the net. Don't be fooled and PLZ dont be "that guy" that sends them to everyone on your buddylists.

History: The AOL version of this hoax first appeared in 1998 and has circulated ever since. The MSN version appeared in July 2001, and the Yahoo version (above) followed a few weeks later. They're all virtually identical; they're all equally false.

It is better to be quiet and thought a fool, then to IM and Confirm it.

yeah i recieved the top one from a friend and sent it to you and shoot. i wasn't sure if that was true because the only hoaxes i usually get are horror stories through the im like if you dont send this or read this in a dark room you will die.. that of course is bs. but i have never gotten the yahoo one so i wasn't sure about that. I just sent it to see if it was true.

      Now that i know. lol.
