Space server problems

I don't know for sure if anybody is experiencing the lag im going through,but everytime I go into the space server I end up leaving right away out of frustration from the lag and the "bad connection" icon that is constantly blipping when im in there.Its only when im in there that the connection acts up.

Could there be something wrong with my connection?I got a router recently and i've noticed that after installing this and joining the space server a few times they have been horrible.I am able to connect to other servers easily though without a hassle.Is there something that im missing :? ?Any help is appreciated.Is there a certain port I need open?

I opened the ones(Ports) that they told me to open in the book.....,but still no go and I still get that icon with irregular game movement.

Still having problems while in the space server and I have been playing in there abit more often,but its difficult to stay there for long because the "Bad connection" Icon constantly blips.

I have even tried playing without the router and I still receieve this problem.

Whats up man? What kind of router are you using? Not that it matters if you say it happens when pluging directly into modem. Hmmmmm Whats the Ping on the room before you enter? I have Cable service with Time Warner. While im pleased with the service thus far I notice some lag at times too. I think the trick is to try and play rooms with really low ping rates. Im not sure how much you know about this online stuff so I dont want to insult you but Ill be happy to help you anyway I can. Ive been messing around with networking, online gaming, and server hosting so ive picked up a bit I may be able to share.

man even though the adelphia owners kinda went corrupted, I dont like time warner, they took away NFL network, that aint cool. And we almost lost fox. Yeah i used to always have problems with space, but with me it just froze, so im guessin it was my disc cuz when I got a new one it worked fine.

OMG I totally agree. I harrassed Time Warner for weeks after they took away the NFL Network. They have alot of nerve dont they? I cant wait till Verizon finishes with the Fiber Optic Installs here cuz then im switching. Im hoping I can get some more speed though. Id like to actually get more of an even upload speed as the download speed. 4000 on the down but only 400 on the upload?? Thats retarded.

My Ping is fine,but I find other people with high pings like '250" or "400" even on a rare occasion.Thats when I have been in the space sever.

Even after i've booted the laggers I still get the bad connection thing and it does mess things up like maybe im shooting someone and they'll fly across the screen.

Every other server works fine and when I played Space during the scrimmage it played perfectly.
