Is it possible for a PS2 to scratch discs, because my FIFA 07 game looks to be scratched and has started freezing on me. This pisses me off because I have only had this game for a little over 2 weeks and it has already started to screw up and i have not done anything with my disc to make it scratch. Any help would be great if you know why this is happening.

Easiest answer is there is dust or something in the tray. Get a Q-tip and get into the grooves where the CD lies. Your drive head might be getting to close but this is unlikely if you 've never opened your Ps2. You can get the disc fixed at Gamestop or other game retailers for like 3 bucks.

i remembe my first ps2 (the big one) would cut groves around the disk near the middle... had to buy like 3 nhl 2002's and a couple old smackdowns... it sucked!<img src=http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y11/CaDevilsFan/Banner.bmp>Comment
