    Freezing issues on PS3

Well... My PS3 has freezing issues. I turn it on, sometimes it will freeze in the beginning when i try to click something. It sometimes freezes ingame, and I haven't been able to play a real ranked warhawk game in months... Does anybody know a solution? Is it my internet, because I'm getting faster internet August 6th, so that shouldn't be to big of a problem after that. Thanks in advance.

It's normal for Warhawk to freeze the PS3. I have no idea why it does it.

I haven't had a freeze in warhawk in a long time, but it does happen occasionally, it shouldn't happen ALL the time though

You smoke ciggs or weed right next to the PS3? Lots of dust on it? You should try vacuuming it out. That might do the trick. If not it maybe time for a new one.

It actually happens to me quite frequently. Like once every two weeks.

I was having some frequent freezing issues until I cleaned and re-located my PS3. If the RAM gets too hot it will cause the system to lock up, so any dust/hair buildup in/on your PS3 will cause it to heat up faster and make it more difficult for the fans to keep it cool. Also make sure your PS3 is VERY well ventilated, you should have it on a hard surface (not carpet) with a minimum of 4 inches of clearance on all sides. If it's near other electronics (TV, receiver, STB, etc.) that produce heat, you should move it.

I still get some occasional freezing (though BF 1943 has been freezing every time I play this past week) usually when in-game and trying to use the XMB to do something. I vacuum my PS3 every week or two (don't use compressed air) and dust the area regularly to keep it as clean as possible.

What model PS3 do you have?
How long have you had it?
              Do you have pets?
Do you smoke in the same room?
Is it an air conditioned room?

I use an intercooler and always have, if you go this route, just make sure you get one with it's OWN power supply, not one that passes through.

I have only had freezing issues very seldomly on Warhawk (Maybe 4 times in 350 hours of play), and in Fallout 3 (known bug in the game) and SOCOM (also known bugs).

Make sure you put the PS3 somewhere where it can breathe.

Ok, I have no pets, Do not Smoke, Its Air Conditioned Whenever its on, Tons of breathing space, On a hard floor, And my ps3 is very clean, I dust it once a month or so. I have had it for 2 years.
I'm thinking about getting a new one, but does anyone know where i can get a USB compatiable hard drive of at least 50 GB so i can back up my ps3?

Yash, why don't you ask your clan about this?

Really? For some reason I thought you are a part of hellfire. Must be another Yash then.

No problem Yash. Glad to see you have no commitment issues.
