I was just playing and it all the sudden shut off. When I try to turn it back on the Ps3 goes from green and blue to yellow then red. After that it flashes red and will not even start up. Can someone please tell me what's going on?

Did you try all the usual stuff for technology? Power cycle, unplug for a minute, leave it alone for a bit, and so forth? I'm not sure, but I think that is the PS3's version of the RROD. I hope not though. -
I tried all that I am going to let it sit for even longer though.sigpic

They want 150.00 to service it. Which is pretty much a new one anyways. The only problem is that the Uncharted 2 disk is still in the PS3.sigpic

If you aren't repairing it, you can simply take it apart to get at the disk.You're the best! Around! Nothings gonna ever keep you down!

Yeah I played U2 for 15min and got to play three of the new maps. I was so pissed. Oh well I am picking up the new one from best buy tomorrow. I figure what is the point of spending 150.00 when that is pretty much half of the new one. When the problem could happen again. I already looked into youtube to see how to fix it, but the whole process is very involved. On a good note you do not have to take apart the PS3 to get a disc out.sigpic

Grab your HDD though. You may be able to recover what you had if you hook it up to an external USB docking device (actual term? One of you tech guys fix that).
You'll still have all your socom stats when you re-sign in to that, but you'll have to redo your loadout, contoller, camera, etc.
